Download Loams Desktop

Direct links to every Loams Desktop file for Linux, macOS and Windows, by architecture, with the signed checksums to verify them.

Loams Desktop is the Loams console in a window. It opens in The Field, where Loams Studio runs your coding agents, and it runs a local engine for you and connects to any deployment you add. Pick the row for your system: if your browser reports it, that row is marked. Every file below is a direct link to the GitHub release.

All files and older versions are on GitHub releases. The loams CLI and the server packages are on the same release; see Install the CLI and Loams Desktop.

Verify your download

Download DESKTOP-SHA256SUMS and DESKTOP-SHA256SUMS.asc into the folder with your file, import the project key once (gpg --import gpg.asc), then:

gpg --verify DESKTOP-SHA256SUMS.asc DESKTOP-SHA256SUMS
sha256sum -c DESKTOP-SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing # macOS: shasum -a 256 -c …

A good signature names Loams Release Signing Key <security@ostriumlabs.org>, fingerprint 333A C945 99D5 A1EB 2A41 6D1E 83DC 134D 8CAF 895D. The install guide has the Windows steps and the per-file signatures.

What is signed, and first launch

  • Linux: the AppImage, .deb and .pacman carry detached GPG .sig files. The .rpm is not signed yet; use the checksums.
  • macOS: ad-hoc signed, not notarized. After copying the app to Applications, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Loams Desktop.app" once, or right-click it and choose Open.
  • Windows: the installer is unsigned, so SmartScreen shows Windows protected your PC. Choose More info, then Run anyway. There is no arm64 build yet.

System requirements

The release does not document minimum versions yet. Desktop builds are made for Linux, macOS and Windows on the architectures in the table. On macOS and Windows, the server stack itself needs Docker Desktop or loams dev; see self-hosting over Tailscale.

Next: connect Desktop to a deployment, from The Farmhouse.
